Mathayom and My Namesake

I had a funny call with Mat from Mathayom a couple days ago. I had emailed him about getting some drop-off gourmet or possibly a chef on New Year's Eve. His email back indicated that he had already spoken with me, but I hadn't contacted him before. When I called him on Tuesday, he called me Katharine, and I told him that I go by Kate or Katie. He said "when we talked yesterday I called you Kate and you said you go by Katharine." um... we had never spoken before.

We eventually figured out that someone with the same last name as me, almost the same first name, and same size group had also emailed him on the same day about New Years Eve!

I'll be keeping an eye out for my namesake when I'm in STJ!

Names are funny. Mine is pretty uncommon, but there are duplicates. One duplicate was the CIO of Pepsico and then Foxwood Casinos, both were my clients.
