Sad to say it, but I'm back!

Post by Gromit »

Greetings all!

Just back from island time. Flight got in LATE last night and my butt is dragging today.

Didn't take ANY pics this trip. Hubby and I just enjoyed being together and hanging out for 11 days.

I'll try to pull together a trip report of sorts but in the meantime I want to to apologize for not making the forum gathering on the 9th. We made it to the one on the 4th and had a ball, but on the 9th I was doing shots and swapping jokes at Island Blues with my new gal pal Nicole and some locals and before I knew it, the night had passed me by!

For those of you that I got to meet on the 4th-- it was a pleasure!! It was so cool putting names to face and was a good time all around. Ruth, you rock!
And Scuba Girl is my kind of people.

We had extra time with DCphoto and her hubby-- both cool people (turns out DC photo and I wear the exact same wedding band with diamonds and the exact same Tiffany silver ring-- weird!)

It was also nice to play "catch up" with Jan and Mike at their villa along with STJMike (also a very cool dude). We had a blast and the Jello shots turned out great!

The night before we left there were some wicked (I never use this term) rain storms that came in bands like a hurricane and the winds were intense. But all was well by the time we were heading out the next day.

I'll include a villa review when I do my trip report. We had some serious issues at our villa and I want to give Caribbean Villas the opportunity to make some restitution before I post anything, in order to be fair.

Stay tuned!

Dirty boy!!

I have all the photos I need in my minds eye. I tried to focus on "experiences" this time and tried not to focus on the superficial.

How's that for deep?

OOOOMMMMMMMMM.

Maybe superficial isn't the right word. But I'm too fried to figure ut what the right word would be. For this trip and for me they weren't a priority.

Hi!!!
Had a great time at the party and dinner with you. I took plenty of photos, Just need time to go through all of them. Thanks for the nice comment about my turtle shot, I got lucky. My niece is the one who spotted it for me!

Welcome back and I'm glad you enjoyed yourself!

Only hope the issues you had with your Villa aren't related to the other thread on this forum

Hey Gromit, was your new gal pal Nicole a resident or another vacationer.

I caught wind that a friend of mine named Nicole just relocated to STJ from New Orleans.

Wondering if this is her?

Nicole's been on island for a year and is originally from Chicagoland. She's heading back next month to get a "real" job. Cool chick and she had some great friends too! We had a blast. I was just sorry I couldn't be in two places at once!

Hey Gromit,

It was great to meet you and Andy. I think if you and I lived closer we would be as thick as thieves.

I think you and Andy should consider a week on the boat with us, no roaches there!

I had a great time at the Beach Bar on the 4th.

I also didn't take any pictures this time. with all my own photos, and the ones I have borrowed from this forum, I think I have a picture of everything I could ever want.

I don't think I'll do a trip report either, cause all it would say is... eat, drink, swim, read, dive, eat, drink, swim, read, dive.....and maybe one or two other things.(Had to take advantage of only the two of us on the boat!)

Now my count down to next December begins. How sad is that?
  :(
