St. Thomas 1 Night
St. Thomas 1 Night
Hi everyone,
I was hoping you all could help me out. I am looking for advice on a one night stay in St. Thomas in May 2008. We were possibly thinking of Secret Harbour--any thoughts? We will be on our honeymoon and are spending 10 nights on St. John and staying our last night on St. Thomas in order to make catching the flight easier. Where is the best place to stay on St. Thomas for one night? Clean with a pool and hot tub would be nice (and of course reasonable price). I would preferably like to be close to things to do since we'll have had the whole trip to relax.
Also, would we need to rent a car for just one day there? We'll arrive on St. Thomas in the afternoon and our flight leaves around noon the next day. Are the buses/taxis outrageous? That was another reason we'd prefer a place within walking distance of things.
Thanks in advance!!
Lindsay

I've seen nothing but good comments on here about Secret Harbour. I actually need to get busy and book a few nights there for my husband and I in May. We are going with a group to St. John for a week, but we want to go down a few days early and hang out by ourselves before the crew arrives! It seems like Secret Harbour is close to things too. For one night, I'm sure it'll work!
Congrats on your upcoming marriage!

Although I've never stayed there, I "third" the Best Western. I checked it out for someone else. However, it's not walking distance to anything, so you would need a taxi to go anywhere. I believe the hotel has a free shuttle between the hotel and downtown, and once you're downtown you can walk almost anywhere

My vote is for the Mafolie. Whenever we need to stay one night in STT, that's where we stay. The rooms are nice, the view is unbelievable and the restaurant is awesome! It's only a short cab ride down the hill to all the action in Charlotte Amalie. I would go for a deluxe room which is only $119 a night in May.
Have fun on your trip.
