I've been Barnako'd

Post by flip-flop »

This was not my own doing. Upon my return from vacation I had a message from Frank Barnako who most of you probably know does the News of St. John email newsletter. He had seen my flurry of out of control activity here on the forum and asked if I'd be willing to talk to him a little bit about our trip, particularly Flavors of St. JOhn. Well I said yes. This is the result.

I sound like a total goofball, but it is kind of cool! I embarrassed myself a little, but not the island

I just got my News of St. John email, but am having trouble hearing the podcast. I'm going to keep trying, but congratulations! We have a star on VIOL! :D

Aaaah – Flip Flop is famous. You sounded like a real pro. Just honest and open comments. It was great.

Hey flip, just listened to your comments on the pod cast. Great stuff! No mention of hiking the ram's Head Trail in your Flip-Flops! That would have been real interesting.

Thanks. I've done enough reseach and obsessing for 20 trips I am sure! I was a little surprised he wasn't aware of the Ram's Head hike.

Just finished listening to you Flip-Flop; you were great! Very clear and polished sounding I thought. I've always liked your posts & trip reports & after hearing you on the podcast, hope we're on-island together sometime. It would be fun to meet with our families (or whomever we're traveling with at the time) and chat.

I was proud of you for going on the Ram's Head hike. I thought you explained that really well also. Something I've read & thought about for years but can never find anyone who's traveling with me that wants to do it. You think it would be ok to go on alone??

Anyway, enjoyed the podcast & your latest trip report installments. Can't believe how mini-flip-flop has GROWN!
