Ajax Mtn Villa Locations?
Sherban--Creolla is really pretty small. Two very small bedrooms & one small bath. It is pretty basic, but kept up nice. The views are mainly of Coral Bay with a few peeks of St Thomas around the sides of Orions Hill villa. Creolla does not sit quite high enough on the ridge line to see north. So no views of Tortola or Jost Van Dyke.
If interested in some pictures I'll check and see what I can find, but none are posted right now.
The villa just to the right of Creolla is Aerie. These two are the last ones on Ajax Mountain Rd. Aerie has one more switchback going up and puts it at the top.

Hi all. I've been a lurker for months but will be heading to STJ on 12/27. We are staying in Satinwood Villa (http://satinwood-usvi.com/index.htm)which is the solar powered villa. It also sits on Ajax peak. Does anyone know which one it is?
By the way, the help I've gotten from this site is great. Plus I feel like I know so many of you! This will be our third trip to STJ and I just can't wait.

First of all Lisak428--welcome to the forum. Its a great place to hang out.

It shows Satinwood on the south side of Centerline Rd.
The villas being identified on this thread all appear to be North of Centerline and accessed from Ajax Mountain Rd.

I think the one you marked Callaloo is actually Winsome House and the next one to the right is Callaloo.
The next one up the hill past Bayview is It's About Time.
The white one off to itsself to the right of Orion's Hill should be Aerie. I've alway thought that one looked way cool.

Oh fine feline, I beg to differ on Callaloo. It has two access roads that are not connected. You can take Ajax Peak Road or Iron Wood Road to get there. There are two driveways. Ajax Peak Road is a tad hairy, but more convenient from Cruz Bay.2catlimit wrote:Hey sherban,

Just for clarification, Creolla is very close to Orion's Hill on the right and the next house that is white and sits off alone is Aerie.
I havent been able to pin down Satinwood yet.
I think the property map at Rentalo is incorrect about it being on the downhill side of the road closer to the smoothie stand. It appears to be somewhere near Ajax Peak to me. I think it may have been named High Hat in the past.

Go back to page 1 and look closely at which one the pushpin indicates.
It looks like the one sherban marked is the one in the middle of the Z, not to the right, like you said Callaloo is.
I think the title "Villa Callaloo" is above the villa you were indicating, which has a road coming in from each side and sits to the right of the "Z", but the pushpin is on the other house that I think is Winsome House.
I think Winsome House is the one in the middle of the "Z" with the roads connected coming from above and below.
It has two buildings with the right one set back from the left one, red roofs, a rectangular pool rimmed in white at the right lower corner.
Callaloo has three separate buildings somewhat staggered, and a pool which is not distinctly visible from the photo.
What do you think?

I cross referenced your inputs with photos and references on rental websites and reviews and I think these pushpins are correct now. If anyone thinks they are wrong or you know others in that area, let me know. I have posted these locations on Google Earth Community, they can all be found via a search for "virgin island" (in quotes so the search engine looks for the entire phrase. I will start separate threads in the near future to share methods for posting and downloading the Google Earth placemarks.
