Nope - still under construction

I was there last week and it still looks exactly the same as last year - I guess they have taken lessons from the St John construction crews and are now "on island time" :)

We must've missed it when we were there in June because we thought it was all done. We didn't have to walk that long a$$ walk this time though.

p.s. that's good to know that it's not done

Islandgirl,
We were at Miami Airport at the end of August and didn't encounter any construction/renovation during our unexpected six hour wait on our way home from STJ. It gave us time to admire the interior.

I know everyone has their opinions, but per mine, I always try to avoid Miami at all costs. Basically, because we have AA miles & our only options are SJU & MIA, I always always try for SJU if at all possible.

I know some people don't like SJU but personally I love it. Everything is close; I know where the dependable food & drink is and you can buy duty-free goods both coming & going with no problem.

MIA does NOT allow you to buy duty-free on the way home and it has ALWAYS been, for us, a very, very, very long walk to our connecting flight which 1/2 the time is CHANGED! by the time we get there!

But, having said that, I had no option last time other than MIA, and even though hubby & I had to flat out RUN the 20 minutes we had between flights (even the flight attendants didn't think we could make it!) we DID make it...just as they were getting ready to lock the access doors! :D

It made for the very shortest trip home that we ever had!! Which was very nice. But boy, I have to confess, our hearts were beating for a LONG time after we sat down in our seats!!
