OMG.....We're on Island 14 days!!!!!!!!
OMG!!
I cannot believe that I have been away from all of you as long as I have been! Work, aging parents, home renovations, and physicals (and at our age ((50 they become complicated)) it's been TOO LONG).
So forgive me, but I truly miss you guys, all the trip reports I didn't read SOTB, RickG and the gang over Halloween............SO COOL! I've tried to keep up, but there is too much going on..........WHAT FUN everyone is having............this forum is the BEST it has ever been!! Now, Mike & I are on a roll, 14 days from tonight, or is it 13?? (we arrive 12/3).
So now I am panicking: I haven't even thought of this trip except for two things. FIRST, forumite gatherings which we have planned for 12/4 and 12/9. And SECOND, our FIRST nights dinner which has become a tradition.....................my homemade chili...frozen and ready to heat up to enjoy with our first sunset.
YUM YUM!
We are so looking forward to meeting NEW FOLKS, and of course hooking back up with OLD FRIENDS. We are packing our gear into DOG CARRIERS and hooking up with REV STU ( a little pet animal taking care of).
But mostly I wanted to say is what I love the most about going to STJ; spending time with hubby (and OF COURSE he feels the same way about me
)!!! I don't have to buy new clothes, or think about a strange country or location! We know the roads, land, beaches, best restaurants, et. etc. ............STJ is the PERFECT place for us!! True R & R at it's best!!! I know I can buy what I don't bring. BUT the best thing about the Island is hooking up with FORUMITES................I truly do LOVE YOU GUYS even if I haven't showed my face much here lately!
Okay............so 14 days and counting, a company dinner to plan, in-laws for Christmas Dinner, my family for Christmas Holiday (2 or 3 nights), New Years out of town....................and.................................................................. THANK GOODNESS STJ IN OUR FUTURE!!!!

LIFE IS GOOD......................ISN'T IT?????

Looking forward to meeting you both and I feel exactly the same way that you do. It makes my day to come home after a long day at work and get online and read trip reports it brings me right back. Sometimes I read about something that I didn't already know.(I didn't think that was possible I thought I knew everything about St John)
I've really enjoyed this forum and hopefully I can write a nice detailed trip report like everyone else has when I get back. That is if I'm not depressed!!
I'm going on this trip with a newbie and it's so hard to explain how Stj makes you feel. They don't get as excited as you do. I guess it like someone said "you just get it"
Looking forward to meeting some of you Dec 4
