New St. John Restaurant Blog

Some of you may have seen, buried in a thread recently, that I've maintained a Word document with a compliation of posts from trip reports on this and other USVI forums about St. John restaurants. I also include Frommer's and Fodor's reviews, and occasionally other input.

I wanted to find a way to make it more accessible, and it finally dawned on me to start a blog. I'll be updating it regularly, then will repost all the reviews around the first of each month. I hope this becomes a resource, maybe not so much for you regulars who have a pretty good feeling for the places you like and want to try, but especially for those who are planning their first or second visit.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it...you may even find some of your posts in the mix. Please feel free to comment either here or there about anything you thing could be done to make it better. The address is:

Robin! Your blog is GREAT!! I even saw some of my own posts there.

I wish I'd had a guide like this before my trip. I did keep track of posts about certain restaurants, but to have them all together in one place and continually updated is awesome! Particularly considering that restaurants undergo changes in ownership and chefs, current reviews are good to have. Great job Robin! Thanks!

This might be helpful on there.

Lime Inn closed on Sundays. LaTapa and RhumbLines are closed on Tuesday. I think Ocean grill may be closed on Monday but I am not completely sure about that one.

Update - The Lime Inn is now closed on Saturdays and Sundays, but they are available for functions (weddings, cocktail parties, luncheons,etc.) on Saturdays. They are in the process of updating their web site. I think the new one should be up any day now....

Thanks, STJ_gal...When I started doing this, I didn't have any idea that I'd go public with it, so I didn't worry about the sources. You're right, though, and that's one of several things I'll do differently now that it's in blog form. I appreciate your thoughts.
