Restaurants weekends vs weekdays

I was just wondering if it is better to go to the fancier restaurants on a weekday evening or a weekend. Do they get busier on the weekend? Does the service and food suffer? Anybody have a comment on this?

Ha - I honestly didn't know a weekend from a week day while I was there. I don't recall ever thinking things were busier during certains days. So I say there's really no difference. JMO.

MB- I kind of figured that would be the case since most of the people would be vacationers but being from New York/New Jersey I am just used to staying away from the weekend crowds at restaurants. Also, many times the chef will take earlier days in the week off so I tend to make reservations for Wednesday and Thursday at the better restaurants.

I do know that some of the restaurants are closed either Sunday or Monday so that will influence when you book. Other than that, I've never had any issues.
