Day Trip to Jost from Coral Bay, for 10
I'd really like to do a day trip to JVD. We're staying in the Coral Bay area, so I'd love to leave from there. A private charter would be great, but we have a group of 10, and the charters I've found can't accomodate that many. For a group of our size, is the ferry the best (only?) option? Is there a charter that can bring 10?
Finally, for newbies, would you recommend JVD or Water Island for a day trip? (OK, I do want to see both, but if you could only pick one...)
Thanks as always for your thoughts!

Check out borntorhumb.com. They can take up to 12 and it is an awesome day!! I don't know if Captain Kevin will pick up in Coral Bay (we always leave from the National Park Dock), but I do know that you can select your own itinerary (with great suggestions from Kevin) and it is an absolute blast! The price is, I believe, $140 per person, but that includes the $20 customs fee and all the beer, soda and painkillers you can drink!!
I haven't been to Water Island, but I'm not sure there's anywhere in the world that I love more than Jost Van Dyke.
First of all, the original painkillers at Soggy Dollar are amazing compared to everyone else's. Secondly, Ivan is the nicest person you will ever meet, and his daughter makes a mean cheeseburger.
It's so peaceful. You feel like you are at the end of the world.

Try Truman with Flyaway Charters - he has 2 boats that leave out of Coral Bay (I think they hold 6 people each) - great company, great people and great boats

I think Breath sails out of Coral Bay and takes up to 12. Here's the website: http://sailbreath.com/

I second Born to Rhumb. We were a group of 9 (4 adults/5 kids ages 3-11) and as a result, had the boat to ourselves. Totally had a fabulous trip. Capt. Kevin was great with the kids, they said it was the highlight of the week...it was very important to me to make sure our kids were treated well and they definitely were. You make your own itinerary which was nice too. We did the Baths, Willy T, the caves, Sandy Cay (wow, talk about beautiful) and Jost. Great memories from that day.
