Funny business - (serious forum business)

Post by Anthony »

Please let me know if you see anything strange happening here (and don't make jokes - I mean the way the forum is working - not what you are talking about :)

One issue we are seeing is that a lot of mail, like the alerts that you receive for a PM or alerts to responses are being sent back to us - the mail from the forum now comes from: MAILER-DAEMON@136560-web1.www.textonly.com

You may need to add this address to your contacts, trusted hosts, etc. whatever.

Let me know if there are other issues -

I had one issue this morning when I was trying to get in to a thread that said "Critical db error" but I refreshed it went away.

Hmm - I saw that once too - with the same result of it going away... which is sort of impossible... :)

Maybe I had the database server stopped for a minute...

Anthony - So can we assume the migration went without a hitch?

Happy Halloween.

When the forum home page loads, the topic column, is really narrow, and the others are really wide. Can still read, but it looks really weird.

Mbw/Anthony...

I got the same one quite a few times. Maybe it's fixed now.

Hi Anthony - I just got the same error message as Mary Beth when I clicked the link on my favorites tab. It happened a few times. I was able to access this page by doing so manually instead.

Is this the first time that happened to you? Is it persistent or did it just happen once?

I've been getting the same thing as MaryBeth. I thought it was my computer. I switched to my laptop and it's been fine ever since.

The only funny thing I can report on is - I have two PM messages in my SENDBOX dated Oct. 16 & 23 that were never sent. They are still there.

George send me a PM with who you tried to send those too - the person may not be accepting PMs anymore.
