Is Foxy around?

Post by Knolmom »

Has anyone been over to Jost and seen Foxy lately? We will be doing a charter on the Palma Bella with John Brandi on Monday 11/12. We would like to stop at Waterlemon to snorkel, then over to Smuggler's Cove, Sandy Spit and to Jost. I guess the order will depend on how hungry we get and whether or not it is possible to see Foxy.
I have seen him perform a few times, but the newbies have never met him. I know he has not been performing and they advertise music ( by their resident musician) at lunch Tues thru Sat but wondering if he has been hanging out at his place just to chat.
Another question we have is whether they serve food at the Soggy Dollar, or do we have to eat at Foxy;s or Taboo?
If anyone has been over within the last month or two, please let me know. Maybe RickG will post something when he gets back, and our friends who are joining us on the 10th will have some info. from his post.

Soggy dollar still serves food and I love their roti.
On thursdays Ivan used to have a BBQ......call Ivan's and ask if they still do that.
I had heard from someone on island that Foxy was having some health issues and was not around as much.
You can always call Foxy to and ask.

Foxy is "around" but follows no schedule besides his own. You might find him there, or not. Staff is usually clueless to his whereabouts too, so asking isn't much help.

The Tuna Pita and Roti at Sandcastle make their lunch menu.

I would also strongly recommend Jewel's Snack Shack for burgers or her famous Hebrew National hot dogs. Jewel puts alot of effort into making her burgers the best on island and I think she has succeeded. Outside of the food, Jewel is just a special person and every visitor to White Bay should have the pleasure of chatting with her at least once.

I was there just last week and will be going again next week (just to rub it in) but Foxy was there. It just depends but more often than not he is around telling his jokes that I've heard a thousand times but are still funny just by the way he tells it.

Ask him what kind of dog Taboo is. Clearly its a black lab but his answer is very funny.

Places to eat, and also on White Bay, but only if you want the best burger you have ever eaten, try Jewels Snack Shack next to One Love, and just a few stumbles down the beach from Soggy $. Soggy $ is very overrated in my opinion.

Hahaha. I guess I skipped over Verve's post about Jewel. So yes I second Verve's opinion.

We were just over to Jost on October 13th and saw Foxy so yes he is still around. We also saw Taboo his "island dog".
