We want to stay near Coral Bay

Post by jp »

Family of 5 now planning a second trip after coming in June, 2006. We stayed at a villa near Hart Bay and it was great but we really enjoyed the Coral Bay area and want to give it a try.

A place that has caught our eye is One Particular Harbor. I've read the reviews which are mostly good. After our June trip, I'm not concerned about the steep drive.

Need a pool, AC in the bedrooms, and great views. Can anyone weigh in with comments on this villa and possible other choices?

family of 5 - so you need 3 bedrooms I'm guessing?

Check out Coral Rays - might fit your needs. We were going to stay there this past May, but had to cancel that trip.

Another vote for Coral Rays, depending on how old the kiddos are. It seems very spacious and lovely.

I have Coral Rays bookmarked too, but like Flip-Flop said, it depends on the age of your children. I think 2 of the bedrooms are by the pool area, and two are below in a separate building. How many bedrooms do you want? I have several villas that I have "saved" in Coral Bay. I love that side of the island.

Kids are 2 boys (15,18) and one girl (12). Boys are ok to share bedroom. My daughter on the other hand, well you know that story.

I'll check out Coral Rays.

Cruz Bay is just too busy for us. Now, if it were just the wife and I, well that is another story. jp

I'm not sure how soon you are trying to book your trip, but I;m staying at Coral Rays in Dec and can let you know how it is when we get back. We booked it because it looks like it has a lot of room and the price is great. I have read other reviews and so far so good.

Wow jp! Your kids are even more spaced out than mine, 13,11, and 5  . Definitely check out Coral Rays and see if it is a possibility. I have always liked the look of One Particular Harbour too, plus it's a 3BR, and it has beautiful views. We will be looking at the same choices as you soon. Our next trip to STJ is without kids, then I want to take them. We are staying in the Catherineberg area without them, but I see us staying near Coral Bay again when we have them with us. Have fun with your decision!

We also were very interested in One Particular Harbor, and were ready to book it, when all of a sudden the whole month of July became unavailable :(
We have been looking for another villa since..preferably with the same wonderful views! I would say book it if still available for your trip! :D
