Nomadic Spa

Post by Knolmom »

Has anyone used Nomadic Spa for a massage? Other treatments? We have used several different masseus(es) for massages in the past and really liked most of them, but there are 5 of us who want massages on the same day so I dont see one masseuse doing them all.
Has anyone done the couples massage?
Other recommendations for a large group?
We just thought it would be better to have a spa day on our last day on St John, so we could chill around the villa and then all go out as a group for our last night together.

I think Flip-flop has used nomadic massage, because she asked me if there'd be room at the villa for them to set up.

Where is she when we need her?

We had two people from Nomadic Spa come to the villa for a spa day last February---we were very pleased with them. One of the gals in our group gets a lot of massages and she said Casey did a great job.

Hello there, sorry I was off for the weekend taking my nieces to visit William and Mary (my alma mater). One is applying for admission next fall. She's a smart girl :)

I had a massage and body scrub last time & just completed booking two 1.5 hour massages for myself & my friend for our upcoming trip. Casey did my treatments last time & he was great. I, too, get a lot of massages - mostly not froufrou in a spa massages, but just deep tissue for my lower back. Casey is one of the best I've had.

They are very professional. They will show up about 15 minutes early to set up and prepare for you. Oh, and they use products from the body deli. MMMMmmmmm good.

I highly recommend the concept of them coming to you, especially if there are five of you.

Usually these folks are in excellent shape and five people is just a full day for them. They may want a bit of a break in the middle but they should be able to handle it. Once they're set up, they're set up.

We also had one outfit come and do pedi/manis along with the massages one time-- I think they were Nomadic.

!!Helpful Hint!! Since massages usually involve some level of nekkidness -- so you should identify a spot that has some privacy and away from any noise that might be going on in the villa.

Also, consider a spot that can be shaded (if you're out on the deck) as the sun and the oils can be pretty intense. They usually only bring the massage table and sheets. Although check in advance to detrmine what they bring and what you need to provide.

The only major problem we had was trying to give them directions to our villa. I think the businesses on island have a better system now, but make sure they know where you are otherwise it can get frustrating.

Like I said, we really enjoyed this kind of service. Once you do this, it's hard to go to an indoor spa again!

I am not sure about other cos, but Nomadic brings it all! It was like having our master bedroom converted to a nice spa room. Our decks were SUNNY, which is why I chose inside in the a/c. It was very relaxing.

This time we are hoping for a shady, quiet spot on the lower deck (thanks LULU for the 411) with a breeze. If its hot hot hot we'll move inside.

My experience with Nomadic was that they knew the area & houses & if they didn't they contacted the rental agent to figure it out. They showed up about 15-20 minutes early and set it all up for you. All I had to do was disrobe and get on the table. Pure BLISS!

Yep, that's them. You can either pick in advance from a list or they will bring several options and you can use your sniffer to decide. Casey is awesome. I thought Casey was going to be a girl, but no, its a boy. SO that threw me off a little, but he gave a great massage. He was very professional and I felt very comfortable with him.

Nomadic Spa

Just booked with Nomadic Spa for Nov 16 but, unfortunately, Casey had knee surgery and will still be rehabbing off island.
Anyone else there you can recommend?
