Want to Share a Boat?

Post by Neeners »

Hello - we will be on St. John Oct. 27 - Nov. 3. Is anyone interested in sharing a boat? I posted this already in another thread, but Rick suggested I try a new one. Thanks, Rick! Here's hoping...

Looks like I'm not having any luck finding someone to share a boat. I saw in another thread, however, someone mention taking the Ferry to the beach where the Soggy Dollar bar is? How does that work? Is there a schedule somewhere? Thanks a bunch for the help!

Neeners congrats on your trip soon come. To get ferry schedules check out Trip Planning above (in blue) and then click "getting around" and you'll see ferry schedules.

You take the ferry to the harbor on Jost and a cab driver will take you to Soggy Dollar or wherever else on Jost you prefer. It's just a walk between Soggy Dollar and Ivan's. The cab only cost $5 one way, and the cab driver was waiting for us when it was time to go back to the ferry. Oliver was our driver, and he is top-notch if he's around when you arrive. (He has a red truck.) He even took us out of the way for sight-seeing at no extra cost!

Check with www.dolphinshuttle.com too.

They are running regular trips to White Bay. Don't need a big group either it's all a per person thing.

Thank you for the tips. I think we just might do the Ferry, if we can't find any people who want to share a boat. Came close - but they were leaving the day we were arriving. Drat!
