Villa Mistral is a great vila! My friends stayed there in 2001. It was for sale that year and on Island Getaways site it says it's off the market until further notice for rentals http://island-getaways.net/mistral.html

You may want to email them to confirm - the last rates listed on it are for 2004.

Nancy,
Thanks! That was the first trip and what a way to spend the perfect vacation.
That villa and STJ gave me and my wife the absolute perfect experiance of going to the caribbean.

I look at that villa and think how lucky am i to be on my third trip to the island.
Its a special place, even if it is not available anymore.

I got married at mistral in 2002. What an amazing house. It has been completely remodeled and was on the market for $10 million. The owners do not rent it.

You're wedding must have been fabulous! We were married on St. John in May 2001. Our reception was at Casa Del Sol. It's my most favorite villa on the island. We were fortunate to stay there several times but the owners took it off the rental market two years ago. I can't blame them - it's a spectacular home.

Our first villa rental was directly across the bay from Mistral. We called it the "Purple Castle" because of its roof. I could not believe the size of that house.

I did notice in June that it does not have a purple roof anymore.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
