Pictures from July trip

Post by Rhonda »

Here are some pictures from our July trip. I did a trip report then but did not have the pictures ready. I hope this works as I have not done this before.

Very nice turtle and octopus shots!
When we come to place where the sea and the sky collide

Great pictures - thanks for sharing :)

I do have a question - where on Honeymoon did you see the Octopus? on the rocks to the right towards Caneel hotel as you are standing on the beach, or left towards Soloman as you are standing on the beach - enquiring minds want to know

Great pictures.

What do you use for identifying the fish? I have a fish that I can't identify from my last trip - looking at yours, it may be a "scrawled cowfish" - I'm going to compare them; mine was at the non-trail side of trunk. "Cowfish" isn't on any of my cards.

thanks for sharing

Jsnet, the book is called Reef Fish Identification - Florida, Caribbean, Bahamas, Enlarged 2nd edition. We got it at a dive shop.

I gave my youngest that book when she was 6 as a gift before a STJ trip. 4 years later, she still flips through it in bed some nights before she falls asleep. I can hear here sometimes talking to herself "I saw that one, I saw that one, I saw that one, scary, scary, I saw that one, I want to see that one..." Its a nice book.

We bought the fish card from Anthony and works nicely too.

Cheers, RickG
