That is a neat article. I have seen the produce at the roadside stands on St. Thomas and it always looks really good. I wish they had stands like that on St. John.
Last trip I noticed that there is someone selling vegetables out of the back of a truck on Centerline, next to that food trailer--I can't remember the name of it. Has anyone stopped there for vegetables? I'd be curious as to the quality and prices.

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
The stands you see on the waterfront, and the one near Redhook (if it is still there) can be very hit or miss - and - a lot of the produce is actually coming from the states anyway! You can always ask what is local or not - there is some local seasonal stuff that is great, but there is never very much of it.liamsaunt wrote:That is a neat article. Good fruit and vegetables (non-local) are so tough on the islands - the stuff always has to come that extra mile, and the market is so small.
