brainstorming....where to stay (inexpensive)

Post by b-as-u-r »

I'm brainstorming for a possible 2 nights in STJ. This would be an add-on to an upcoming trip, but I would need inexpensive accommodations for these 2 nights (11/3 & 11/4). I was thinking of something within walking distance to Town. Do I re-call that maybe Ruth or RickG (forum genius re: STJ) posted a website about these 3 rentals that, to the best of my recollection, were located close to (just beyond) Gallows and were fairly reasonable? I tried searching the recent threads but couldn't find it?(Please refresh my memory.) Thanks, Ali~

We always stay at Estate Lindholm when we have a couple of extra nights. You can walk to town from there, but we don't.

Ruth has mentioned Star Villas in the past. theshopper3 (Canadian Ruth) liked them in April. Nascarfan59 is staying at Coconut Coast over Halloween, and I've heard good things about them. I've also heard good things about Hillcrest Guest House. We're staying at Tamarind Court for 2 nights in November.

One thing to check on is that some places ask for a 3 night minimum.

Good luck!

Cheers, RickG

I had a friend who stayed at St. John Inn, and she enjoyed it, although I don't know what it cost. It did seem close to everything, too.
