Magical Moments daysail?

Post by sapphirecat »

Hello,

Has anyone used this company, out of Redhook, for a sail around both STJ and some BVI?

I'm looking for a larger boat, because DH has an ocean-motion issue. (Otherwise anything would do.)

Other suggestions very welcome!

Thanks a lot.

I don't know any companies who sail these but I think that
catamarans are better for motion sickness than sailboats.
I know there are people on the forum who could recommend
someone.

This one's a powerboat, actually, which will help. I haven't heard of a single cat off of STT that does these day sails. But I keep hunting and am still thankful for recommendations! :-)

I haven't been on Magic Moments, but I've seen it docked at White Bay. Sweet!! I think it's quite a bit more $$ than NH 2, but if you can afford it, it looks like it's worth it.

I recommend Bonine and then you can do any one you want!

It works for me and I have trouble when someone else drives even a short distance!

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your replies. What is NHII/NH2?

Re seasick pills -- sometimes they work, sometimes not -- not if it suddenly gets really bouncy. We take along ginger candies, which are really helpful, too.

Try the Limnos, i've taken this one quite a few times, they have a few boats and are very stable and even have stand-up heads.

Also, Breakaway is great, i believe it is owned by NH too.

I've heard of Limnos, thanks for the reminder. It's good to hear about a service from someone.

One of the places we want to go to is Waterlemon Cay. I have read that the most comfortable and quickest way to do this is by boat.

You may want to also consider renting a boat for the day and hiring a captain, then you can plot your own course and not be tied down to a schedule and can do your own t'ing. I've always wanted to do this, but am usually on too much of a budget to splurge.
