Island Getaways vs. BookIt VI vs. St. John Rent A Villa

We might rent a villa that is available through Island Getaways, Book It VI, and St. John Rent A Villa.

Which of these three do you think is the best option? I've never rented from any of them before, so I don't know which to choose.

Well, if you can find out who actually manages the villa, that's who will get called if there's a problem. I always check vrbo.com to see if its listed there by the owner. Some villas have web sites put up by the owners as well.

I have never used any of these agents either, so, if it were me, I would contact all three and see who provides the best customer service, and go with my gut feeling. It's not a guarantee, but will give you an idea of what to expect. Cheaper is not always worth the savings.

We recommend Bookitvi. They are on island and very responsive. Haven't used the others. Good luck!

We used bookitvi in May! They were wonderful! On the day we left we had to return our Jeep, but had several hours to kill before we caught the ferry to St. Thomas. They held our luggage for us, cashed a check for us (we ran out and the ATM was out ) ... they were great! I would highly recommend them.

I am worried about the same thing...We are considering the villa AMANI, through www.acharminghideaway.com . but who would respond in case of trouble?? I cannot find any other agency who manages this property.

I've never used them, but bookitvi owner Billy Dove is good people. When not working, he is usually at Island Blues. Nobody ever has a bad word to say about him or his rentals.

We have used bookitvi and been very satisfied. We are also using Island Getaways for the upcoming trip and Kathy has been great; very responsive.
