The Inn at Tamarind

Post by jdw »

I have heard that their restaurant has a theme each night. Does anyone have a favorite night? Is it very expensive?

Its very reasonable/competitive. I like to get there early. Greek night was a past favorite. I would give them a call and ask the schedule.

It also has really great breakfast for what I thought was an extremely low price.

theme nights

Post by StJohnCaptain »

Just drive by in the morning. The evening theme is always posted on a chalk board outside the front entrance.

They're all good. Cheap. Probably $10-15 for almost everything.

Breakfast is fine. Very quiet and peaceful under the umbrellas.

I don't know how up to date it maybe, but on their web site (www.innattamarindcourt.com) they give the theme for the evening.

I'm also not sure what the theme nights are now, but can vouch for the value. We enjoyed dinner (Cajun night) and breakfast there.

They were having a West Indian night recently, which my husband and I really enjoyed. Great food, and very friendly people in the kitchen!

We've stayed there a couple of times and have tacked on two extra nights to our Halloween week. The rooms are motel quality with good A/C and clean and pretty quiet. This is not a resort! The breakfasts are great, the bar is cheap and the pours are heavy. Since we spend so little time in the room, all we really care about are clean and cool.

The princesses might get grumpy about setting and decor; they should stay at Gallows Point for 3X more. Seriously, we only use Tamarind for short-term lodging and it works well for us. I need to be walking distance from the Beach Bar if I'm drinking with BugBlue and that dangerous crew of tarts!

this is for cheap stays only

Post by StJohnCaptain »

you can stay here if you want, but the quality is very poor.

stay elsewhere.

get something good.

this is not a good place to stay, unless you are on a wicked cheap budget.

anyone who says this place is good is cheaparoonie.

Guilty, but I did have three countdown timers going there for a while!

It's in town, has A/C and is clean. That's it.

Sailorgirl, my daughters demand a pool. My youngest liked Maho Bay, but my almost 16 year old wants her MTV and pool time and her own flush toilet. No Tamarind Court with the kids!
