I found the answer. Promoguy, you may be interested in this:
His name is Brian Schwartz. Brian is an eBayer (EZas123),
he has several websites and in my opinion Brian Schwartz
is a marketing genius. In a minute you will agree!
How much would you pay for a single 'Cherry Flavored Kool
Aid Packet'? That's right, I said a Kool Aid Packet.
How about US $2,025.01? That's what Brian achieved with the
winning bid of $2,025 with 54 total bids on his eBay auction.
A better question might be what is a single Cherry Flavored
Kool Aid Packet worth? Well, we'd have to compare it with
the cost of real advertising to the tune of thousands of
targeted visitors beating your door down!
I recently had the opportunity to speak with Brian
on the phone and he explained the concept to me. I
won't go into detail because frankly it might ruin
the fun but he did say it was about Community Trust,
Cross promotion and a method of advertising.
Brian (EZ) has figured out a way to develop a unique form
of viral advertising with a clever mixture of curiosity
and simple trust.
EZ has also taken this extraordinary talent to another
level by cross promoting his other endeavors with a
simple series of steps. These steps are taken by eBay
members in hopes to learn the secret behind Brian's
madness.
"It's EZas123" says Brian in his 'Questions from other members'
1) Watch This Item
2) Email a Friend
3) Click the YES Button on Each and Every one of my Reviews & Guides
Those EZas123 steps has earned Brian the #1 spot of Most Watched
Items on eBay Pulse. It also gave him the cool position of
eBay's 'Top 25 Reviewer'.
Have you ever seen an auction with over 29000 page views?
You will by seeing the now expired Cherry Flavored Kool
Aid Packet auction here: http://4u2bn.com/c21
As far as the cross-promotion goes, don't think the clever
marketing ends there. Have you seen anything like this:
http://www.thewindowsofopportunity.com/
It impressed me to the point that I actually purchased
a window.

PETERB-I can assure you that this is not spam, I was surfing ebay and found this under weird listings.
I have been a member of this forum for just abut 5 years and I would never do any such thing.
I think if you ask any long time member here and they will vouch for me.
I just thought someone here could help me figure it out and I slightly resent the comment.

Sorry to have offended you X but, by posting your
post you have opted the forum into this person's
promotional scheme. Inadvertantly no doubt which
simply brings home how devious it is.

Clearly you are curious and trusting.
Again, my apologies for offending you.
