Pia,
I know this is a St. John board, but I would love to hear about your trip to the UK. You can PM me......I have never been and want so much to go.
I have so many trips I want to take b4 I make a decision on if I am moving back on island FT.
It is much easier to take these trips while I am in S. FL.....

Hey there,
Not much to tell as I was born there and grew up there so I did not visit as a "tourist" - all I can tell you is it is sooooooo expensive - makes St John to be the cheapest destination known to man
Gas $10.00 per gallon
Everything appears to be the same in Pounds as it is in Dollars, meaning if a McDonalds is $5.00 here in the US it will be 5.00 UK Pounds, and when you add in the 2-1 rate, it becomes a $10.00 McDonalds (not that we ate any) but Starbucks we did have and for 2 lattes, 1 coffe and 2 pastries it came to $20.00 (ten English Pounds converted to twenty US Dollars !!!) so my only advise is make sure you have plenty of room on the old Visa

I knew you were from there Pia, was just thinking being that you could recommend places to eat and places not to miss. My sis went to school in Nottingham and my dad and her are going in 2008.
I really want to go to Ireland but figure I must take a stop in London since I hear they have the best indian food.
My friend (on island Alica) is from across the pond. You may know her, she works or did at Connections East and sings. really well........
