For those interested... Yucatan pics (Off Topic)

Post by LMG »

Hey there, all my wonderful and helpful forum buddies!

I just thought I'd post a few pics from my trip to Mexico because I ended up learning so much before I went from many of you all on this very forum.

Hopefully these pics will convey that the Mayan Riviera, though not the islands, is a beautiful, rich place to be. If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM. :)

Cenote (an entirely different kind of snorkeling!)

One of my favorite parts, music everywhere!

Beautiful beaches

That beautiful turquoise water we all know and love

No Drunk Bay but I made a little creepy guy as a cheers to all of you anyway!

And finally, some FP (Enchiladas with this awesome cilantro sauce I loved so much I wanted to marry it. :) You know, that cilantro taste but not TOO cilantro-y? Yum!)

Thanks for letting me share. :)

Beautiful! Where is that beach with the huts all over it? We will be in Cozumel in 29 days!

Cat- it's "North" Playa del Carmen, sort of in front of the Shangri-La property, I believe. That was a beer and beach day, memory is not 100%. :D

You can definitely walk there off the ferry dock when coming from Cozumel, it will just take a while. It will be worth it though, as the beach near the ferry is super crowded and stressful and the beaches further North are considerably quiter (think East Coast beaches vs. Trunk Bay on a non-cruiseship day). If you'd rather not walk, you can take a cab up 10th Ave. to about 34th street (Calle 34) and walk over to the beach from there.
