Toad and Tart :)

Post by Pia »

OK, I just went over to STT and met up with one of our "newest" family members and picked up my mosquito lanterns ....yeah :)

Anyway, we had a fabulous dinner (both had the fish n chips with strawberry and rhubarb pie...yummmmy) so I thought I would post the link to her website - just click on the menu to see the pictures of the food and do read her blog - great fun, and of course don't forget if you are on STT Thu, Fri, Sat or Sun go have dinner and meet a great lady

Enjoy everyone

Pia

That's so funny, I've been wanting to go there for the longest time. I'm going there the next time I go to St. Thomas, absolutely.

Pia - It was really lovely to see you again, brilliant Young Tart! Hope dem tings work as well for you as they do for me and, as I mentioned, any time you need something from here that you can't find on STJ, just let me know.

Ruth, hope to see you before too long. Silly really how the two islands are so close to each other and yet getting together often takes enormous planning. I used to go over to your island much more in the past but, particularly with all the Red Hook construction going on, it seems such a chore.

Red Hook used to be a wonderfully sleepy hamlet but I really don't like it now that it's turning into a seething metropolis.

Ksea, never really got the point of "Happy" Hour. So I chose to name it misery hour and if anyone ventures in here from 4-6PM they're entitled to bitch about their working day but it's clearly posted that there is to be "no moaning or grumbling permitted after 6PM!"

cat - glad you liked the food pictures and can assure you that the food tastes even better than it looks! My current bartender/second arm, Donna, took the pics. She's quite a whizz with a camera and you can see more of her work at her own website which is listed on mine. The poor suffering girl has tolerated me for nine months already which means she might possibly be setting some sort of a record except that I'm getting too old to remember such incidentals...

Cheers to all and happy vacationing in the American Paradise!

You forgot to mention the fantastic chef that because of their hours only allows her to keep the place open four days a week.

promoguy, dear heart! Pia clearly said in her post, "and of course don't forget if you are on STT Thu, Fri, Sat or Sun go have dinner..." AND she linked the website which clearly states the open hours.

Left brain/right brain syndrome rears its ugly head once again. Love you dearly, you big moose! Cheers too!!!!!!
