God Bless the Grandparents!

Post by Tracy in WI »

Well, we were out enjoying a Milwaukee Brewer victory this evening with my parents and my stepmom once again offered to watch my son so we could go somewhere in January.

We actually have 2 sons (11 & 9) but the older one is currently at boarding school due to some special challenges. We thought this would change everything, but she offered to watch the younger of the two all by himself so the hubby (Juice) & I could get a little time away.

I want to personally thank all you grandparents out there who make this offer to your kids - it means so much and I can't wait to get planning!

The dates and location are TBD at this point. We're for sure hitting STJ at the end of June with 2 other families.

We'll see! I am so thankful!

You are so right Tracy!

Thanks to my mom's willingness to come and stay with our boys, my wife and I have been able to go away by ourselves for a week or so every year since the little one was one.

I know that she and the boys also enjoy "their" special time, but I also know that at times she has had to juggles schedules, etc. to accomodate us, and I'll always be grateful.
Come see us!

I know this is going to sound funny. I see that you are a Brewers fan. I am a diehard Twins fan. I recently won an authentic Sheets jersey size XL. I would like it to go to someone who will appreciate it. Please let me know if you would like it. Kim

Jorge - That is an offer I don't think I can refuse - we'll let you know! We hang out at the Beach Bar ALOT!

Kim -

What an awesome offer. I would love to take you up on it. I actually have a great-grandmother (in-law) who will be turning 102 on September 16th. She is the largest Brewer's fan - has been since they began I guess! Her favorite player is Ben Sheets. If you would be willing to donate the jersey to her Birthday celebration, I know it would be totally appreciated. Let me know - I would definitely pay to have it mailed or whatever you'd like for it. Thanks!
