Leaving Saturday.... (last minute questions)
Leaving Saturday.... (last minute questions)
Though a holiday shortened week at work I don't think I am going to make it! Plus the weather hive mind is being very slow at updating their Invest 98 projections. Have you guys found http://www.ibiseye.com/ yet?
I have a question: Is anyone still renting dinghys in Coral Harbor? (btw I just figured out that Coral Harbor and Love City are the same place!)
The wife and I want to get out on the water a bit and we are debating the merits of renting in Cruz, going over to Waterlemon and making our way back or playing around on the East End if there are dinghy rentals on that side.
Do the dinghys have anchors? Real question is do we have to park the dinghy on a beach or can we just drop anchor somewhere and swim in?
2nd where is this beach bar that everyone seems to meet at?
3rd Last time down we drove all the way to here:
Is this sign in the Long Bay/Pond Bay area? Or did we not make it that far?
Thanks! LS

The last I heard, no one was renting dinghys in Coral Bay now.
As you walk off the ferry dock, the Beach Bar is to your left along that stretch of Beach.
I've seen dinghys hooked up out in the water and then of course taken up on the beach so I believe you can do both.
I'm sure you will get more answers shortly!

The wife and I want to get out on the water a bit and we are debating the merits of renting in Cruz, going over to Waterlemon and making our way back or playing around on the East End if there are dinghy rentals on that side. We always rent in Cruz Bay and start by going out to Waterlemon. We then spend the day making our way back, hitting any beach we want. It's an awesome day!!
Do the dinghys have anchors? Real question is do we have to park the dinghy on a beach or can we just drop anchor somewhere and swim in? All the dingy's have anchors and last I heard you are not allowed to beach a boat (dingy or not) any longer. You have to anchor and swim in.
2nd where is this beach bar that everyone seems to meet at? When you get off the Ferry in Cruz Bay, there is a strip of shops to your right. The Beach Bar is the last bar in that strip.
3rd Last time down we drove all the way to here:
Is this sign in the Long Bay/Pond Bay area? Or did we not make it that far? I'm not sure about this but I believe that when you got into Coral Bay you stayed straight. To get to Salt Pond you would make the right had turn in Coral Bay. Someone else could maybe help you better with this question.

Leaving Saturday
They were still beaching the dinghies last week--even at Trunk. They were up on the beach at Maho, Francis, Hawksnest and Gibney too!
They seem to have some new ones with a steering wheel now. Saw one of them on the beach at Hawksnest.
