Just Back

Post by jmq »

Good morning
Just back last night from a week at Gallows.

Highlights included:
>>GREAT weather all week long with fascinating clouds and awesome sunsets almost every night

>> bugs not bad at all

>> wonderful day on White Bay in Jost via ferry

>> best dinner at Zozos

>> best lunch yesterday at Glady's Café in Charlotte

>> killer Sunday brunch at Sun Dog

>> developed habit of stopping by Caps almost everyday on way back into town for those ice cold 2 for $3 Presidente beers = best deal on island, even had 2 about 25 hrs ago for the wait for the 11:15 ferry!

Hard to believe I am now sitting back here in reality, although it was good to see our Sheltie again.

Just finished importing photos from memory cards - I've never taken so many sky/cloud/sunset photos before.

A few quick pics:

From first night dinner at Balcony

Welcome home, jmq.
Thanks for helping me with the photo posting. It no longer takes me seven tries to get a photo onto the forum. I think I'm getting the hang of it!

It was nice to meet you Ruth, glad I was able to help.
We stopped in again yesterday before ferry (but missed you) for some misc items plus Cruz Bay Rub. Looking forward to trying it out this weekend to keep the island vibe going a little longer.

PS Ruth - thanks also for tip on the Sun Dog brunch. The Baileys dipped french toast and eggs benedict with crab meat were unbelievable.
