Day sails in September?

Post by JulieDC »

Believe it or not, I've actually managed to finagle a work trip to the Virgin Islands and so I'm planning to tack on a few vacation days at the end for our first return to St. John since 2001! We'll be arriving the last week in September and heading back home October 3rd. Does anyone know if there are any day sail operators open for business over this time period? We're looking to leave from St. John and we can't go the the BVIs as I won't be able to get a passport in time. A few years ago we went out on the Pirate's Penny with two other couples and absolutely loved it, so it would be great to find a similar option (i.e. someone who takes smaller groups). Any ideas?

thanks!

Try the Wayward Sailor with Capt Phil as his sailboat only takes up to 6 people.

Thanks--we were thining about him, but I could've sworn someone here said he pulls his boat out of the water every September/October for cleaning & maintenance?

You don't need a passport yet, an original birth cert or a notorized copy of one and a drivers license.
That will do the trick for you..
