Foxy's recipe for rum punch
Well, we're having another pool party on Labor Day weekend. SOOOOO, MORE RUM
! Instead of painkillers, this time I was thinking about a good rum punch. And Foxy's recipe comes to mind. I've googled the net for the recipe to no avail. The below is from the Foxy's website, but I need help with the proportions. Anyone know?
Foxy's rum punch:
Cruzan dark and mango rums, over the rocks with a blend of pineapple, guava, orange and pomegranate juices.

I make a very popular rum punch that is similar to Foxy's. I use a couple of kinds of rum, Barbancourt and Mathusalan--but Cruzan Dark would be good. I add a touch of Myers but it's heavy, so I don't like to use a lot of it. Just a bit for flavor.
Then I use a lot of pineapple juice, some fresh orange juice, fresh lime juice, guava juice (guava really gives it that tropical flavor), a splash of pomegranate. I squeeze orange and lemon and lime quarters and drop them into the whole pitcher. Stir it up...
I also add a dash of maraschino liquer--which is clear and kind of pungent, nothing like a maraschino cherry.

Ahhh, you use the good stuff in your rum punch!? I want to drink with Maryann!Maryanne wrote:I make a very popular rum punch that is similar to Foxy's. I actually find nutmeg and, perhaps, a touch of vanilla works nicely too.

Hello- For Rum Punch
When the recipe says "Pomegranite", substitute Roses Grenadine and no worries. It is red,smooth and sweet for the punch.
In a full glass of Ice, add Equal Parts {shot} for the liquor{s}
, equal parts juices to fill the glass, splash of grenadine at the end. Shake it up to the rythms of your favorite island music.
Grenadine doesn't actually have any "juice" in it, but it is behind the bar everywhere, and in my refridgerator next to the Cruzan Coconut Rum.
