Westin Timeshare

Post by DCphoto »

Hi,

This year will be our first staying at the Westin Timeshare, I have a few questions I hope someone can answer for me.
Do the timshares have coolers and beach chairs available for us to use. There will be 5 of us going this year and I am hoping we will not have to go and buy all this stuff and just leave it there. The Villa we have stayed at before had plenty available for our use, just not sure about the Westin. Our timeshare is in Virgin Grand estates across the street from the Resort. Is there anything else I should bring with us? Not sure what to expect from the Westin.

Thanks!

My guess is they do not have coolers for personal use. I would say yes to the beach chairs though. If not you might be able to use the pool chairs on the beach, but would have to look for signs. As for the cooler, why don't you pack a soft sided foldable cooler you can pack in your checked baggage. Thats what we plan on doing.

We are using our Marriott timeshare for the first time this fall and unless you know someone at your resort then you are going to be on a learning curve as we are. You might try emailing or calling your sales agent and asking them your questions. The Marriott folks seemed very helpful before and after the sale.

I will give them a call, I was hoping to go carry-on only this year, but that is not looking like an option right now.

Thank you for your ideas!

Have been owners at the VG Estates the last 7 years. They do not have coolers or beach chairs for personal use. You can use pool towels to take to the beach. I beleive there is a place in CB where you can rent chairs. Take a backpack cooler with you.

I stayed at one of the timeshare units across the street in March and as daytonpaul indicated there are no beach chairs or coolers. You can buy a styrofoam cooler at Starfish Market ($5-$10) but I'm not too sure what your options are for chairs. There are chair rentals at Cinnamon Bay, but as I recall, they were fairly pricey. We ended up just digging out the sand and lying in the shallow hole. Certainly not a chair but a good improvise. Ali~

Hey there neighbor. We stayed at the Westin condo's a few years ago and knew they didn't supply chairs or coolers. Got some from my buddy at seaviewhomes.com who we had just rented from two months prior. The Westin deal was a last minute trip to join my brothers on island. You can rent chairs from Cruz Bay Water sports right under Chilly Billy's. Give them a call for the price. Don't worry about a cooler. We have you covered on that. Sandie and I are staying at a 4 bedroom villa by ourselves so I think we can help since we are taking a big one on the plane which you can use. Any questions you can call me at my office at 540-349-9100 or PM me....God bless..Bill

Hi Bill,

Thanks so much for your offer! I'm looking at getting some small coolers to take. Looking forward to meeting you and Gromit, maybe we can have a litte party at our timeshare one of the nights. We have the one with the pool and hot tub. Can't wait to be there, we bought last December and had to wait a year to use it. See you soon.

Beach chairs and coolers are available on site

When we were there in May (after lugging everything down with us) we discovered that beach chair rentals were available at the Tennis Center. The on site Cruz Bay Watersports also used to let you rent/borrow coolers for the week.
