Any info. on Villa Adeste?

Post by susan & herb »

You all must be getting tired of seeing my name with yet another question about a villa I have seen but believe me I am getting worn out from this.
My husband found Adeste, which of course, I found months ago when we started this search. I remember showing it to him and he said the living room looked small so I took it off the list. Well, today he said, "hey look at this villa, I like it". Go figure!
Has anyone stayed at this villa? Would love to end this search. (By the way, Reef Madness is still up there, but since great pictures are not up yet, which of course I do expect, we are still hunting!
Indulge me people, today is my BIRTHDAY!!!!

Susan,
Happy Birthday!
I believe the owners live downstairs at Adeste.
And I recently read a less than favorable review about it.

I think it may be for sale...not sure though.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...especially on your B'day.

I did a walk through of Adeste last year. The location is great above Skinny's. The parking situation is one of the things that made us cross this house off the list of candidates. If you are only going to have one Jeep it's doable but if you have a second Jeep...........not so much.

The main room of the house is very tiny with no table to eat at inside. The verandahs however are beautiful and the pool area looks nice. I didn't look into cupboards to see how well or poorly the house is furnished so I can't comment on linens or kitchen. I recall that there are some windows that are actually only screened and if it rains you either go outside and shut the shutters to keep the rain out or just let it rain into the house and mop it up later. (Not a situation that I would like to live with either.)

I crossed this house off my list. I might reconsider this house if it were only the two of us however.

Wow, I think that's the worst review I've ever read! (The one from Trip Advisor)
