Transporting Wine and other food packing questions
Transporting Wine and other food packing questions
We've been going to St John for a decade and now but this is our first trip since the whole resticted liquids in carriy-on bag rules started.
I have been in the habit of taking a small cooler filled with frozen meat and other item in my carry-on. Is this still allowed.
Also How does one transport a bottle of their favorite wine down to the islands without breakage?
Any suggestions would be great!

Hey, we routinely transport bottles of wine/liquor in our checked suitcases when we come home from Europe.
we don't have enough clothes to cushion everything, so we bring bubble wrap and packing tape. Just wrap in bubble wrap, tape, and put clothes around the sides, front and back of the bottles. The most common cause of breakage (very rare) is bottle against bottle contact.
I do miss the days of carry on liquids. My record for carry on bottles of beer is 73 - all different. The screeners loved us in Munich and Brussels!
Cheers, RickG
