Where is Hart Bay?
I know I was just there and probably should know this but where is Hart Bay? I can't get a feel for this location.
Hi Mary Beth,
In your photos, Hart Bay is to the right. Chocolate Hole is the one with the boats, and Hart is the bay that would have had the waves rolling in. It's also the bay where you took a picture of the funny house all the way out on the right with a round roof. The first house we ever rented on STJ is the house in your pictures with the pink roof on Hart Bay, down close to the beach.

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
The road to Hart Bay is a right turn after the Westin. The road is either called Chocolate Hole Road or Chocolate Hole North Road (can't remember!). To get to the part of Hart Bay we were on, you make a further left off THAT road, onto Iguana Road, which was a dirt road at the time we stayed there. I'm not sure if that is still the case, because I saw lots of new houses in the pictures you posted.

HA HA HA!! Really?? You have the craziest adventures.Jorge wrote:For liamsaunt,
We rented a house, I think, right where you did a couple of times back about 14 years ago. Was the villa you rented owned by a guy named John Paul? The last time we rented it, Federal Marshals seized the villa while we were out swimming. We had to beg them not to pad lock the doors until the end of the week. We had a chance to pick it up for around 375k. Should have, oh well! Luvya, Jorge
No, that was not the guy's name who owned the villa, though maybe the man we rented from was the guy who picked up the deal you passed up. Thanks for the laugh though!
I will tell you, after some of the things we went through at that house I could have padlocked it off myself! (If there was actually a door to padlock...)

Question for RONNIE
Ronnie, if you read this. What memories of islanders. What ever happened to this bloke.

You mean good ole John Paul? He flew the coop. His wife, that his was leaching off of, had to move to Florida to get away. A good guess is he is either there, in jail or dead!
I remember those Hart Bay House posts, where he adamantly denied anything was wrong, while he was taking peoples money as deposits for rentals, knowing full well the law was comng!
I was going to bid on that house(actually two houses) from the US Marshals, but there were too many liens on it! In retrospect, what the bank bid on it to protect themselves wasn't that bad as they put in on the market shortly after for twice what they were owed. I think they got it too!
