PHL airport and parking

Post by jmq »

Hey you Philly users - we be going out of PHL on AA later this month thru SJU to STT.
Any tips on long term parking? On site/off site?
Any construction or other stuff to deal with/we should know about?
How about the AA terminal with check in kiosks, luggage check etc.?
Thanks for any tips.

Long-term parking is $9 (I think) per day. I don't know the cost of the off-site lots as we stayed over the past three STJ trips.

We typically arrived extremely early in the morning and therefore weren't impacted too much by the construction and traffic.

Winner Airport Philly Parking

Post by SteveJ »

We've always had good luck with Winner Airport Parking..it's offsite but with two huge advantages..they'll valet you to the airport in your car for no extra charge and upon return, will deliver your car to the airport for you to get into and drive away for an extra $10 (the employee driver hops a bus back to the lot). Here's a link to their website with a coupon that drops the daily raye to $6.89 http://www.longtermparking.com/COUPONS/cpwinnerphl.htm

We always use Winner parking. It's convenient and decently priced. It's only 5 minutes away from the departures gate at the airport. It usually takes 15 minutes from the time you get to Winner and do the paperwork till they drop you off (in your own car with your luggage) curbside at the departure gate. It's great. Been using them for years and never had a problem. Pacifico does the same thing, right next door to Winner (on Passyunk Ave.) but never used them as we are always pleased with Winner. I think our latest trip cost $9/day. Definitely a good thing.

I bookmarked the link. Sounds like a great service, perfect for us when we don't spend the night before at the airport.

Hi
we used Pacifico auto valet and there is no paper work to fill out, the driver takes you to your gate in your car and gives you a claim ticket with the phone # on for you arrival back to Philly. Your just call and in about 15-20 minutes they pick you up in your car. It was $9 the first four days, $8 the next two and $6 for every day after and they usually have a 10% off coupon on their website. Also if you want your car serviced (oil change etc) while you are gone they will do that to for a charge. We have used it a number of time with no problems yet.

We always use Winner or Pacifico. They are both great and very convient. I would highly recommend either.

Not that this helps, but when I saw the topic, I kinda threw up a little. Me and PHL don't get along.

Do what everyone said and use an off-airport company. the airport itself is awful in every way imaginable.

another vote for Winner, like the valet service. You can also get your car washed and maintenanced there while you are away.
When will I see St John again?

I don't know what kind of problems pip has had with Philly - but I can honestly say that in all the years that I have used Philly and Newark (sometimes JFK) I have found Philly to be the best. The greatest thing is that their security lines are usually so fast - especially compared to those of Newark. I travel to Florida every three months and try to do PHL. For those few times that I cannot and have to use Newark - I just wait for the headaches - and they certainly come. I haven't parked at the airport but the offsite is terrific there. I do see that everyone beat me to the info about the Winner coupons - I get them in the ValPak whever that comes out.

Hi! I've been the PHL airport 2X in the last week and have hit no construction but if you in NJ we would be coming from opposite directions. Can't really help with the long-term parking as we were only dropping off and picking up my daughter.

XOXO

<<I don't know what kind of problems pip has had with Philly>>

I could write several books about my travel adventures through PHL. EWR is also deserving of a novel or 4.

Maybe it's just me, but travel mishaps seem to follow me through life. I have good luck on vacations though. The travel Gods smile on me occasionally.
