OT- posting pictures, not links

Sorry for what may be beating a dead horse, but I can't find any instructions on this site for actually inserting a picture into a post (not a link to a picture). I didn't want to use up a lot of trial-and-error posts. If anyone has some instructions, I would appreciate them !

if you have the photos in webshots or potobucket I can help. do you hve them there already?

I am uploading them to Photobucket as I write!

I offered to post a recipe for that cookbook someone is doing and I wanted to be able to post the pictures.

once you have your pictures loaded click on the photo you want to insert here. to the right of the photo you will see Share URL, URL Link. you want to copy the code that is in IMG code. In fact once you click in that box you will get a little pop up that says copied - then you paste that code in your post. You can hit preview (to the left of submit) to make sure your photo will display in your post.

Maryanne - Go ahead and do your trial posts... if they don't work, and no one else has posted yet after you, you can always delete it

i have no problem copying the share url from photobucket..

but when i try to insert it into a message on the forum, only the address shows up. ?
is it because i'm on a mac?

you don't want share, you want IMG code. It is the last one. Look under share....

Maryanne, saw all of the pix...

The one that is posted, is that before grilling? Mine looked a little more "charred" after being on the grill (oh, yum). Especially the string.

Hello again!
I am back and want to share our experiences and some photos with you. But I have the same problem as Maryanne, I think. I have uploaded the pictures to webshot, but when I copy the URL adress to the topic, and preview it, I can only se the adress in the post, not the picture.
Will it appear when I post the topic?
