Bye Ya'll

Post by flip-flop »

Yes, I am posting at 4:50 in the morning. Off to Utah (just for a week, unlike Tom's month) but I still wanted to say bye!

Have a good one ;)

Ahhh, Utah - the land of 3.2 beer. Well, optimistically 4% by weight. Good luck!

Flip, your coming to my neck of the woods. One question...WHY?

Rick, that's funny! It's a good thing I don't like beer!

But I do like booze & wine...which reminds me that I need to take a trip to one of our lovely little state liquor stores. Fresh out of the vino!

There's a lot of good craft brew in Utah. I actually like it, since I get to sample more and still have a reasonable BAC. I did a lot of work at Overstock.com a couple of years ago and got to sample the full local range. Nothing like looking out of a conference room and seeing a sign: "Alta 12 miles, Snowbird 14 miles."

Snowbird is one of my fave places.

I know a lot of self brewers (my dad included), although he hasn't done any for a while but when Honey wants to stock up on some decent beer, he just heads to Evanston, WY.

I am back ... I was gone for biz. Saw a WHOLE lot of the inside of the Salt Palace convention center. The mountains were beautiful but I don't care what anyone says about dry heat 100+ is HOT. Dry or not :)

RickG- I found some great beer actually (not all or maybe any of it local) at the Bayou. A very cool "club" (yes you have to become a member of most establishments to come in and drink). $17 to join but I could bring all my friends/coworkers and got a free tshirt that my boss very much appreciated "Beervana" - Rick - thought of you!

Anyway, totally off topic, but the Bayou had the largest beer menu I've ever seen --- legal size, small print, doublesided. Needless to say it was our evening haunt. I am a big fan of the Hefe and Pete's wicked Strawberry blonde. YUMMMY.

Good to be home & back to the board though.
