Newbie here sayin Hello!
Newbie here sayin Hello!
Been a lurker for a month or so in planning our next trip to the VI's. My wife and I have been to St. Thomas twice on previous cruises and traveled to the Marriott this last May for 5 days. Our purpose in going to St. Thomas was to check out our new timeshare, Frenchmans Cove, that Marriott is building. We bought our unit almost two years ago and have watched it being built via other owners pictures and Marriott emails. Our first visit to stay there is this November during the week of Thanksgiving. We are traveling with another couple who is family and fellow owners at another Marriott resort.
This visit will be our first time driving there as we have reserved a 4 door Jeep. We plan on taking the auto ferry over to St. John at least one day. We have been to St. John once via a cruise and loved our short time there. St. John was one of our main reasons for buying our unit. We also plan to do another daycruise/sail to either St. John or the BVI's this time via New Horizons. We did their daysail the last May and had an amazing day. One other day we plan to go deep sea fishing. Not sure with who yet, but that will be figured out in the next couple months.
We can't wait to go and I have learned so much in the last 4 weeks browsing the forum. Hope to add something myself and learn much from all you experts

"Welcome to the asylum!"
That surely brings a smile to my face, sea-nile, as my husband heard this phrase from a local years ago and we've looked at each other several times since and have repeated it at the same time:
"St. John is the world's largest outdoor insane asylum." Such a nice place to recover though....
(Now, don't get 'on my case' because the 'insane' part rubs me the wrong way too but it is an accurate quote of what was said to us).
