On Island Now - Now Time to Relax!
We flew in on Delta at Saturday. Flight was uneventful and ontime. We had to wait for a gate in STT for about 10 minutes, but no biggie. Luggage was slow to get off but we had our party of 10 loaded up and on the way to Red Hook within an hour of landing. Flight landed at 3:08, but with slow baggage and slower taxi driver, we didn't make the 5 o clock ferry. We took the 6 o clock and sailed into Cruz Bay dock at 6:20. Met our rental agent and went to fetch the two cars..No problmes as long as you dont expect anything to happen in a hurry.
We rolled into the driveway of our Virgin Grand villa, C'est Bleu, right as the sun was setting. Gorgeous view from here! Nice arrival!
The villa is a monster! Over 5,000 sq ft in three separate buildings that are connected by lush grounds and fountains. The living area has ice cold air conditioning, which is a Godsend! The house is very new, great shape, and has every amenity you could ask for. The supplies, ie: paper towels, garbage bags, etc, are somewhat limited. No floats for the pool either! But that is nitpicking, the house is incredible. I will write an indepth review of it next week from the boredom of my lazyboy.
We have eaten in each night so far, as we brought three coolers full of food. Burgers, brats, chicken so far.
We took the crew to Hawksnest today and it was crowded. Not seen the island so full in July before. I guess the advertising is working.
Tuesday will be our day at sea aboard Breath. The captain, Peter Muilenburg, called to make sure we made it and to give us directions to the dock in Coral Bay. If I am still awake tomorrow night I will give you details from our sail.
Hope everyone stateside is having as much fun as we are!

On island now
You will have a wonderful time with Peter on the Breath. We saied with him during out first trip to St John in 1996 and we look back on the day as one of our best ever. Very low key.
I know Peter has not been well for a few years but happy to see that he is still doing charters. If you have a copy of either St John People or Tales of St John, he is profiled in the book.

I can finally get online after a power failure from 4 PM to 11PM. We made do as best we could. We filled commodes with pool water when absolutely necessary!
The owners of C'est Bleu do not allow floats in the pool, so the mystery of where they are hidden is solved.
The house is just wonderful. I have been on island mabe ten times and have toured almost every house that has been on the market in the sub 5 Mil range and have never seen anything than can compare to C'est Blue. I will write a complete review later.
We sailed on Breath on Tuesday and had a great time. I will write a separate review on that day as well.
Time to load everyone up and head to Vie's Beach.
