[/i]Why certainly California Girl, the prize would be a free week at my villa. A contest always needs a super prize, and a free week would be SUPER!!

villa name

This is just too much fun.

I think I would name mine "Vahevala" after the old Loggins and Messina song.

I'm thinking about when I was a sailor
Spent my time on the open seas
When we'd stay off the coast of Jamaica
I'd secretly steal ashore
The natives were waiting for
The boy with the lazy soul
To sing with the sailor

[Chorus:]
Vahevala, homeless sailor
Vahevala, homeward sail away
Vahevala, homeless sailor
Vahevala, homeward sail away
Every evening I'd be gone
Back on board by break of dawn

I'm thinking about the nights in Jamaica
Pretty girls dancin' here and there
Stole a keg and now I'm drunk as a sailor
The captain he don't know
Where Billy he done go
But I'm singing with native girls
The songs of a sailor

[Chorus]

Every night in Jamaica I'd sing with the lady
And drink with the men till the morning appear
Healthy sunshine is fresh on my face
As the songs of the night puts the ring in my ear

great song and great name for a villa, too. I still have that on a vinyl album. Now if I only had a turntable.

Well, my yacht will be the "JaySea Dee"; so my house would need to be "Waters Edge".

Another thought - "Dirty Love" - Frank Zappa had it right.

Give me
Your dirty love
Like you might surrender
To some dragon in your dreams

Our family's theme song for STJ trips is "Mr. Blue Sky" from ELO:

Sun is shinin' in the sky
There ain't a cloud in sight
It's stopped rainin' ev'rybody's in a play
And don't you know
It's a beautiful new day hey,hey

...

Mister Blue, you did it right
But soon comes Mister Night creepin' over
Now his hand is on your shoulder
Never mind I'll remember you this
I'll remember you this way

Cheers, RickG

Been reading this thread for a while and couldn't come up with a Villa name. Thought of "Ahhh" for the way you feel when you get to your house, mix up a drink and hop in the pool. Then I was posting on the picture thread and mentioned that Sandy Spit just makes my soul sing. Voila - villa name "Soul Song".

How about "Fat Chance" or "Pie in the Sky"?
When we come to place where the sea and the sky collide
Throw me over the edge and let my spirit glide

Now that some time has passed, I'm kind of partial to:
Nanananabooboo.

Did everyone see at http://www.on-stjohn.com that Boo from The Beach Bar is naming her house "Rendez-Boo"? I love it!
