I was looking though your pics and saw your dolphin encounter. That must have been an awesome experience people pay big bucks for that and you got to do it in their natural enviroment.I think thats half the reason snorkeling is so cool, you get so close to nature and its like your just another fish to them. Maybe that will happen someday for me, Lord knows I spend enough time snorkeling.

Hey cptn! Yeah, that was a pretty special day! Sharon, Jen & Phil, who got in the water with the dolphin (whose name I've learned since is Splash) said it was truly a life-changing experience. I didn't get in because I was so pooped from snorkeling around Waterlemon Cay, but those of us who stayed on the boat could spot the dolphin from above, while the folks in the water couldn't see her until she was right next to them. We kept yelling out, "she's over there now!" or "stay where you are, she's coming to you!" Apparently Splash shows up around St. John from time to time and plays with people, then she disappears again for a while. It was just our lucky day!
