Need Villa Help

Post by Tracy in WI »

Hi everyone -

I am hoping you can help me. We are bringing two families with us next year (June)for a total of 6 adults and 5 kids (8 & up). We would like a villa with a pool and AC and probably 5-6 bedrooms. We are looking to keep the cost pretty low and location isn't the most important, but we typically prefer the Cruz Bay side of the island. I have searched a little but know there are so many experts out there. Any help is appreciated.

Hey Tracy,

We stayed at Caribe Villa @ 4 years ago. It's also known as the "Peter Max House". It has 5 bedrooms with A/C and is located on Rendezvous. Very easy drive. First level has two masters by the pool in one pod and the great room on the opposite side of the pool. A cool thing was the outdoor kitchen, totally seperate from the great room. The kitchen has a big shutter style wall that lifts up to give the cooks a view of the huge deck and pool. On the lower level are three more big bedrooms and a seperate little kitchen. The villa had great breezes. You can't beat the price @ $4,000 I think for up to 10 people. We would stay there again with a crowd.

Take care

Take a look at Villa Villekula at Seaview Homes and also Vistaero at Destination St John. Both of these have sleeping accommodations that might appeal to you, and I think Villekula is very reasonably priced and is convenient to town and almost adjacent to the Westin for kids activities.

Tracy,

Perhaps take a look at Vistaero. It's only five bedrooms, but it is huge. According to its site, it has one of the largest private pools on island.

We stayed there with the kids two years ago and are staying there again this summer with the kids.

I'm not sure if it will be large enough for your group, though.

We enjoyed this house for 5 couples. But, I don't think its on the rental market anymore. For kids, there are no internal stairs or hallways.

For good and cheap see Dolphin Run. No A/C but serious ventilation.

Help with Villa

You might also look at La Collina through Caribbean Villas. Seems to be a modest 4 A/C bedroom house with sleeper sofas in a few of the bedrooms. Priced right and near Cruz Bay.
