When I was in STJ 2 weeks ago I actually remembered your post. I am so sorry for your loss and anyone else who has lost a close loved one.
I know how hard it was for me to lose grandparents and I can't imagine losing a child or spouse.
My prayers are with you. I am glad that you are returning to STJ and that is where I would go to heal.

Mary,

You and your family are in my thoughts. My neighbors just lost their darling 3 year old daughter, and I've been pretty weepy. Here come the waterworks again, but always with a reminder to count my blessings and give an extra hug to those I love.

I bet heaven is alot like St. John, and there are some extra special angels up there now.

Mary,

I am truely sorry for your loss and hope we have all helped in easing the pain of the loss of your son. My sympathy and thoughts go out to you and your family.
I lost my father 2 years ago... we miss him, just remember that no matter how hard this seems, things do get better in time, no matter the loss.

Thank You all for your kind words, and keeping me and my family in your thoughts and prayers. This weekend my kids and I and Taelyr went to the beach, we had a great day. Here are some pictures of my Grandaughter Taelyr. And a few more of my son Bernie.

Mary,
I am so terribly sorry for your loss; Bernie is such a handsome young man and Taelyr is just precious. I do have an idea as to your pain; we lost our 28 year old daughter Melissa in Sept. of 2001. It will be six years and I know that the pain and longing are a part of who I am. You and I will never be the same as we once were. I now know that the indescribable pain never goes away nor does it get better "with time"....How could it? Why would we want it to? Please send me a private message if you wish....
It takes both the sun and the rain to make a beautiful rainbow. --Unknown

Words can't express the depth of emotion concerning the loss of one so loved. We have so many crosses to bear in this life yet so much to be thankful for. I wish you and your family the strength to get through your difficult time and the joy of appreciation of every precious new day with the love of family and friends still with you. Know that your son will always be within you and one day we'll all be together again. Until that day, live, love and be present in all that you do.

God Bless.

Mary and Waterguy, both of your posts brought tears to my eyes. Waterguy, I wish I'd known about your wife's ashes at Hawksnest. I'd have stopped to say a prayer for her and for you. We'll say one tonight instead.

Mary, I can't begin to imagine your loss. My heart breaks for you and for your beautiful little granddaughter. I'm sure you'll keep his memory alive for her. God Bless, you're in our prayers.
