ONE PARTICULAR HARBOUR
ONE PARTICULAR HARBOUR
OK..... Some help here please. You ALL know how confusing it is to deal with the selection of a villa. For those that have been here, can you tell me if the windows and sliding doors have screens? I checked past post and some people have said the road is to difficult to get here as well.

This is a beautiful villa, great location, and access is not TOO bad.
To get to OPH you turn near Island Blues and go pretty much straight uphill. Most of the road is paved; there are a couple of rough spots. Four-wheel drive is pretty necessary, especially after a rain. It has a nice paved driveway and beautiful landscaping.
We actually were disappointed with OPH, not because of the villa itself, but because of several things not working. Caribbean Villas was not up front with us about a few things, and we ended up moving to a different villa. Let me get these things cleared up, and then I can talk about all the GOOD stuff at OPH.
The heat pump for the pool was broken. The pool gets zero sun in December, and I mean NONE. The water was like ice, couldn’t hardly get my foot in it. Even though the website does not indicate a heated pool, everyone knows that the pool is heated. I had heard from someone that was there 2 weeks prior and the pool heater was working fine.
There is no TV reception at the villa; there are PLENTY of TV’s just no pictures. NONE, not even a local station. Again, the website doesn’t advertise cable, or satellite, however the villa management company does.
The dryer was not working; I didn’t discover this until AFTER I had washed travel clothes (jeans, sweatshirts).
If I were booked for a visit to this villa, I would check on the above first. I don’t think it was right for Caribbean Villas NOT to disclose this information to us and I believe we were mislead.
The villa itself is very nice, well furnished and comfortable. It was just hubby & I there so we had plenty of room. The pool deck and outside decks are ample, the view, the view, the view…………it is just spectacular. We sat outside on the upper deck ALL the time, and there were no bugs!
The lower level (by the driveway) is the master bedroom, which is the largest, but we did not use this room. The only access to the 3rd floor is with outside stairs and we didn’t want or need to do that.
The second level has 2 fairly small bedrooms with small bathrooms. One bedroom has twin beds, the other has a queen bed, we took the queen room. It makes no sense because the bigger bathroom is with the twin bed room. The queen bed was very comfortable and the linens were nice. Access to these rooms is with interior stairs.
The top level hosts the living, dining, kitchen areas plus a ½ bath. The furnishings are nice and very comfortable. We didn’t eat at the dining table because we ate outside on the deck. The kitchen is stocked with very nice dishes, utensils, etc. I didn’t want for anything.
We would have been very happy with this villa because of the view and comfort. But we love a pool that we can use while on island, and I always wash clothes because we pack light. No TV wasn’t that big of a deal, but when you pay full price for a villa you expect it to be working.
