We're here!

Post by HawkeyeChick »

Hi all, just wanted to drop a note and say thanks to everyone for all of the advice and input you've given over the past 4-5 months.

We arrived late Saturday. We were bumped up to first class by a ticket agent who happened to be a fellow Hawkeye. :) What a great way to start the trip! We had an amazing breakfast on board and lots of champagne.

Sunday we woke up early and trekked over to Ms. Lucy's for brunch. We had no idea it was such a ride from Cruz bay. LOL. Our taxi driver took us from Caneel Bay to Cruz Bay and then said we could take the Centerline bus for $1 each. What a ride. It was beautiful but long. We had a great brunch and had to wait a long long time to get back. Island time I suppose. Apparently there was only one bus working. Who can complain though, right?

We also had the chance to meet Ruth and her family. Hi Ruth! :D It was nice to finally meet someone from this board face to face. Her shop was amazing. I found this great blue skirt and some very cool pirate stuff for my nephews. My husband bought some steak rubs and I found some tea. We didn't make it to the beach bar because we fell asleep on Hawksnest. We managed to see 4 turtles and 2 rays in the first 10 minutes though.

Today we hit Honeymoon (LOVE IT), Turtle and Scott. Each one was amazing and perfect in it's own way. Tomorrow we do the New Horizons II tour to Jost, Virgin Gorda and Marina CAy. Can't wait. It's our anniversary as well so it should be a great day.

I'll write more once we get home but I just wanted to say thanks.

That's the best reason I have ever heard for getting bumped to 1st class - just for being a Hawkeye :D

Have a great trip!
