Pediatrician Gets It

Post by Ksea »

I suspected that my son had strep throat on Friday and we leave for STJ in 2 weeks so I took him in for a throat culture. Told the Doc about us leaving for vacation and he asked where we were off to. As soon as I said STJ his face lit up and he proceeded to spend close to 30 mins gushing about his last trip there and giving me tips on what to do and where to eat and where to shop! He is an older and sometimes grumpy guy but not that day...he wanted to hear all of our plans. PS = throat culture negative for strep...yahooooo.

That's cute! I love hearing stories like that. Several months ago during a Parent/Teacher conference for my little man, as I walked in and sat down, his teacher blurted out "so tell me about STJ." I thought I was there to discuss my son's academic (or lack there of) achievments. Teacher showed me tons of drawings of STJ and I happily regaled him about travels to our fave island! That was the best P/T conference I can ever remember having! Oh BTW, little man did ok too!
