Painkillers by the Pitcher..
The link Sea-nile posted is the exact stuff. It's like powdered Coco Lopez & I get it at the grocery store in the liquor section. I use it in a drink we make that's very much like a Lime n' Coconut, only with Vodka. We made it up and call them Foo Foo's (because they are frozen blender drinks that are perfect for a little umbrella!)mbw1024 wrote:what the HECK is coconut snow?????? My mind is wandering!
I'm going to try the snow again once I use up the 3 cans of Coco Lopez I've already got. I end up throwing out most of what's left in the can of Coco Lopez when I only make a few drinks at a time. To my knowledge, the coconut snow doesn't go bad.
wow
sounds like this crew could use a twelve step program....My name is Vince and I am a St John-a-holic....LOL
The slurpee machine is at my fraternity house in College Park, MD. Of course, now that the boys are on campus (in my day we were beyond the reach of the administration) we leave out the (ahem) rum - except for homecomeing and founders day.Jerseyboy wrote:Rick, do you have a photo of that bad boy?? I've seen your beer tap set up, what a combination!RickG wrote:That's what I do when I mix 5 gallons at a time for the slurpee machine.
We were never classic frat boys. More of a darwinistic social experiment. I survived and became stronger; there were certain casualties. We brewed beer, built draft systems, refurbished slurpee machines, started our parties at 2AM, and we don't talk about distillation (it's cheaper to buy than make). My life as an adult has followed a similar track, but with enough moderation to appear as an adult.
Cheers, RickG

Thanks, Rick. You're not only surviving but thriving.RickG wrote:The slurpee machine is at my fraternity house in College Park, MD. My interest in a distiller is to make grappa from my Italian FIL's grape rinds after he makes his wine.
I am married to one of those frat boys (and fellow brewers). After laughing out loud, I had to have hubby read your post (I told him you were a beer taster - a god in his eyes!) He could SO relate (an EE at a party school). Ahhh, to be young again - isn't that what STJ is all about ???RickG wrote:We were never classic frat boys. More of a darwinistic social experiment.
