Painkillers by the Pitcher..
Does anyone have any recipes that make up a 'pitcher' of painkillers? I am going to a party and would like to mix up a large quantity of painkillers so I won't have to mix drinks there.
I guess I could take the recipe and times it by 15 or so but I thought it might be easier to see if anyone has a recipe for the pitcher. Call me lazy!
Also, if you don't have a recipe for a pitcher of painkillers, do you have any other good recipes for mixing large quantity drinks?
Thanks!!!

Painkillers are touch because sometimes the cocount will seperate.
We have a Caribbean Cocktail party every year and this is what I do.
In a punch bowl I mix rum, pinapple juice and OJ to taste. I leave a cocktail shaker next to the punch bowl with instructions:
Place ice in Shaker
Add 2 ladles of rum mixture
Add a nice pour of coco lopez
Cover and shake
Pour into glass
Grate nutmeg
Drink
I did make them in a pitcher one but they get seperated. You can make them in a gallon jug and make sure they are shaken before pouring, that works great for an outdoor party.

Here's my mega-recipe:
1 46-oz can of pineapple juice
1 15-oz can of coconut cream (Coco Lopez or similar)
1 1/2 cup orange juice
dark rum (preferably Cruzan) to taste (I usually measure 2 coconut cream cans full)
You may have to re-stir the mixture from time to time to keep it from separating - or just drink quickly
Enjoy!

Another trick to deal with separation is to put the mix in the refrigerator to chill well. The coconut butter will hard on top and you can skim it off.
That's what I do when I mix 5 gallons at a time for the slurpee machine. Otherwise, you get little waxy chewy flecks of coconut butter in your glass.

We do almost the same as "Mango" which is to use coconut rum instead of coco lopez, but not entirely instead of coco lopez, we still add just a small quantity of it with the added coconut rum. More rum has to be a better thing, right. Where do we order that slurpie machine? (ha!ha!) Ali~
