I took a person to STJ and he said the same thing about that what would his kids do I just told him if you have to entertain them every minute you did do your job as a parent to show them how to ahve fun doing nothing. he didn't like that.

There is NOWHERE my daughter (5) would rather be than in or near the water. Absolutely nowhere. I can't imagine her ever being bored on STJ. Between the beach and the pool, we barely see her dry all week.

My kid will only get out of the water to eat. He is an only child and has fun with whoever is around...or he can entertain himself.

My son would pick fishing in Northern WI over Disney World or the WI Dells anyday. We raised the kids camping, going on walks in the woods, to the Florida Beaches, to the mountains, etc.
I hate tourist traps and I think my kids do too now.
(The daughter (16) says she wants to live in Chicago or New York now though.)
